Bulk Water Supply
AUI operates five (5) water treatment plants with a capacity to supply a total of 636,000 cubic meter of treated water per day. This capacity accounts for approximately 68 % of treated water supplied to the state of Kedah (excluding Langkawi Island).
Pelubang Water Treatment Plant

It is the largest water treatment plant in Kedah with the source of raw water supply from Pedu Dam. . The plant's current capacity is 227,000 cubic meter per day upgraded from the original production capacity of 113,000 cubic meter per day with the modification of the clarification process from horizontal flow to inclined plate system (lamina flow) with no new structural work. The plant is fully equipped with the installation of a data acquisition system, a computer system for gathering and analyzing real-time information that enables the monitoring of the production and distribution water treatment activities.
Bukit Pinang Water Treatment Plant

It is the oldest water treatment plant in the state of Kedah with production of treated water of 136,000 cubic meter per day. The supply of raw water is also from the Pedu Dam through the Padang Terap River and also through the Mada Channel.

Both the plants produce 227,000 cubic meter per day of treated water. The source of raw water for both plants is from the Muda Dam through the Muda River.
Sungai Ular Water Treatment Plant

This plant's current capability is 45,000 cubic meter per day due to the redesigning of the flocculation process and replacement of the pumpsets. Raw water supply for this plant is from the Kulim River.
